Kylee passed the gates of the park, glancing around at all the joyful kids and older couples. Eyes rolled slightly at the sight of happy, stalking her way towards an open bench. The sun was falling in the sky and soon the street lamps would flicker on, though they provided no great source of illumination.
She moved through the darkness, the lamp slightly picking up on the color of hair as she passed through it. It was getting cold, though nothing she couldn't deal with. She wore a dark cap which covered her light colored hair, her hands slid inside her pockets. She was hear to have some fun, get a glimpse of danger as her life seemed to be filled with lately. She lowered herself roughly upon a bench, the paint peeling from the once she had chosen.
Perhaps there had been someone there in the dark, waiting just as she had. Gaze easily adjusted to the dark and she scanned the park carefully, searching for someone. She hadn't cared who would come, just some way she could get into a bit of trouble. She preferred a gang, give her a joint or two or perhaps get into a fight.
This used to just be her 'nighttime fun'. Though most were at the movies with their boyfriends or girlfriends she had given up that life. Each guy she found wasn't to her liking, wasn't bad enough for her.Now she found enjoyment from picking fights, letting men be seduced then rejection. It was easy for her to win the 'battle' as she saw it though less and less people like her dwelled here. At one point she had been successful, receiving straight A's and acquiring much knowledge of horses. Now she was just Kylee.
She scowled with disgust as she caught sight of the gleeful statues and what not. She hadn't cared of her appearance, though it wasn't bad, for she wasn't here to look cute or be a mysterious girl in dark, she was here to get what she wanted. She had no intention of getting up and walking through the park to enjoy the scenery.
She unzipped her coat, as if to dare the wind to get to her. She sighed, pulling her cap over her hair more than she had it previously. She started to peel off the paint as time lapsed, waiting for someone to appeared. She sat in the dark, daring any danger to come and seek her out.

Well, why was he here? He didn't have work to be doing, didn't have anywhere to be, and so, Dil was here. Sighing, he walked onwards, trying to think, red hair being blown back by the wind as he walked on the patched ground. He had no home to go to anyway, so why even bother looking? After he left his family, it all went down hill from there, but he was still living, so that was a part of the battle won.
Love was no issue, as he didn't love anyone. No one needed to be loved by someone like him, and he choose not to love. He made himself believe no girl was good enough for him, because he knew he would just be turned down anyway, so he just kept his heart safe from being shattered. The grass blew in the wind as he walked closer to the edge of the sidewalk, listening to the rustling combined with the laughter of children and the sight of loving older couples holding hands and making out behind trees for the teenagers. "Hey, get a room, pal..." He said aloud, loud enough for them to hear him. He really didn't care right now; he was annoyed and would take it out on anyone. Some FRIEND he had. He tells a girl that he said something about her, and now, he's going to get beaten up for no reason...Sighing, Dil looked up, looking about as he wondered where the normals were. Soon, he saw a girl, that looked fairly interesting, and so, he walked towards her, saying nothing, but keeping the look on his face.

She shifted in the uncomfortable seat, slightly disappointed that no one had dared to come. It seemed everyone these days had something better to do, boyfriends to hand out with, exams to study for. It had been her dreams and life at what point but what did she care now?
As the sky acquired a more dark blue hue with every moment the people had started to leave the park, the innocent useless people at last. Her own family had been disappointed with her new ways though she ignored what they had to say about her, often finding herself isolated in her room.
Head turned slightly as she heard a new voice, one who dared to linger there after dark as she had. She caught a glimpse of him, though hardly did he seem her type. She couldn't deny he wasn't too hard on the eyes but she shook her head, looking away from him, expecting him to keep walking past.
As he neared she gaze at him again, no look of happiness or surprise apparent. She found his gaze upon her, returning it with her own cold one. "Got a problem?" Words were harsh though perhaps he would be of some fun or amusement.

Smirking lightly, Dil looked at her, arms crossing as he stared her straight in the eye, knowing cold glares like the back of his hand. "Problem? Why, I never stated I had a problem. I gave no inkling as to I had a problem, so why should you ask?" Dil knew sarcasm was the lowest form of wit, as written by Twain, so he wouldn't stoop to that. He just inquired as any would, and kept the conversation as interesting as he could make it, seeing as she didn't seem to want to talk all that much.
Brow raised as she looked at him, and he looked at her, thinking to himself. He couldn't and wouldn't deny the fact that she was a good looking girl, but he couldn't tell himself he had a chance with her, knowing that would only end in disaster, considering many things; they just met, they didn't seem to like each other at this point, and it would be very awkward. Shaking his head, he leaned into the bench as he sat down, looking at the girl, smirking with amusement still. "I am named Dillon Noah Pickles, but please, call me Dil, for lack of a better name." Sure, he may be in a bad mood, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a bit nicer to a lady.

Because most people don't stare, like you. Mos tpeople around here knew her by now, knowing she was not one to mess with. She scowled slight at his reply, already finding his to be an annoyance. By this point she knew of his type, realizing he had been nothing like her. Don't you have someone better to be bothering? She sighed heavily, though she found him somewhat amusing. She eyed him over, as though to take a mental note of his appearance. She found him suitable, other than their attitudes compared but she remained in her spot on the bench. She watched as he sat down, tilting her head back slightly. Oh, yes please take a seat. She muttered to herself.
She laughed dryly as he presented her with his name. Killer name but I don't remember caring. She flashed a false grin perhaps to match her hostile tones. Kylee. She gave her own name, figuring it would be enough for him to chew on for the moment. She had given only her first name seeing as that was how she was known these days. Why is it you have chosen to honor me with your presence? Tones were sarcastic but yet she had to wonder.

Dil just snorted lightly, not moving from his spot on the bench, knowing he wasn't scared of her, though there always was a possibly he should be. He really didn't care at the moment. "Oooh, very original. I've never heard that taken out of context before. Do you write your own material...?" Yes, he had sunken low now, to the lowest form of wit. Ah well, he could always rise back again, but he was on a roll now. "My dear, I don't honor anyone, because I cannot honor anything." He sighed as he smirked, looking straight ahead of him, thinking about that other girl; Jessica Wells. Well, this was great. There were two of them. Both seemed to want him dead, though this one seemed to have no true reason. "You are so...harsh toned to those you don't even know. Don't you find that a bit insulting to your integrity...? To your pride to know that you are not giving other people a chance?"

Its my style, babe. I'm giving you as good as chance as anyone. You just gotta know what to say and what I want. Brow raised, smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. Each moment she found this conversation between them becoming more interesting. She pulled off her cap, blond hair falling over her shoulders. She stood to walk around the path, glancing back at him quickly. Look was thrown towards him, daring him to join her. It was no great loss if he decided not to though this was turning out to her enjoyment.

"Oh, lucky me..." Sighing, Dil stood, walking after her, knowing he had nothing to do, period. He had no other friends, and she was the closest thing he had, so might as well go, right? He looked ahead, starring point black into the darkness, wondering what would actually meet him. He looked at her, wondering why she was so....rough. Surely no one could be that way forever, right? I mean, everyone had a soft side, some just took a bit longer to touch. Yeah, that must be it. Dil shook his head, knowing he took everything into thought too much. So, this is what happens when you are dropped on your head as a baby? Awesome. He'd drop his kid on accident any day, then.
"So, what made ya like this...? I mean, thorny." Dil had his own way of speaking, slang terms and all as he walked onwards, beside Kylee. He wasn't what you would call 'smooth' around the opposite sex, but didn't try to be. Maybe if he tried he could have some luck.

If you don't like the way I act, you don't have to follow. She moved through the darkness with ease, use to wandering with no illumination. This was where she belonged, or at least as she thought, lingering in the darkness. Her strides were long, though slower, in no hurry to get anywhere fast nor return home to the family she hated. "Guess I was just tired of the way I was." She walked in silence, thinking about the changes in her life and how she had transformed into who she was now. "I was tired of the good one, tired of being looked up to, tired of myself." She hadn't always intended to sound so ornery but it was hard not to and is was a immense source of fun for her. Why are you here so late? She had nothing better to do and that was why she had been there, mainly in search of a fight in which to partake in.

'Jumping the gun again..' Sighing, Dil shook his head, just following as he listened. Why would someone want to change themselves? For them, is his answer, but there was always another story. Nodding, he sighed lightly as he spoke, keeping up easily. "I wander for no reason. I have no home, so, I have to live with the one person who kinda wants me dead. Obviously, I wouldn't stay there 24/7.." Sighing, he shook his head looking forwards as he looked at the girl, through the little illumination they had.
"I've never changed myself. I know two things I want; to never be normal, and to be hated for what I am, not loved for what I am not..." Dil decided not to lull on about it, he just wanted to know. His beating heart was pumping a steady pace, but you could hear it, and he hated that. He wasn't nervous, but his heart always made it seem like he was.

She listened intently as it was his turn to speak. She had felt slightly ashamed of her words, feeling bad realizing he had no home. He had seemed young, probably about her age, give or take a year or two. "Why do you bother then, living with this girl, I mean?" For most people it was hard to understand her as well as understand why she had changed her life, become rebellious, giving up everything she was good at and loved. She was just tired, tired of her old life and tired of people judging her on the way she acted now, though it wasn't alway easy for people to get along with her. She too lived with people she hated though it wasn't exactly by choice.

"Her father took me in with open arms, and he wanted to settle the things between us. She hates me, and for a good reason. I sort of killed her friend. Not just a friend, but a best friend ever since she was four...I can never bring her back to life, and I feel bad for it.." Dil sighed as she looked at Kylee, trying to understand and make her understand. "I love these people, and most of them return the favor, but I can never bring that girl's friend back to life...I'll never be able to repay the life lost." Even if it were a dog, it was one of the only friends Jessi had, and he knew that now. If only he had stopped. If only...
Shaking his head, he knew that thinking like that wouldn't bring her dog back ,and it wouldn't make her stop hating him. He really had no clue how to start anything with Kylee, knowing he would just ask something wrong or say something just as wrong.

She nodded understanding how one could hate a person for killing a friend, even if it had been an accident. She too sighed, pace slowing without realization. She allowed a few moments of silence, thinking of what to say. He was nice and though she wasn't all the same she was willing to get to know him better, at least as a friend seeing as it sounded like he didn't care for much more.
She pulled her coat around her tighter as a cool wind threatened her. She wondered how long they could keep walking until the path ended. She bit her lip slightly, turning to glance t him before staring into the darkness again. Was she going soft? She snorted lightly to herself, thinking of what to say. So how old are you?

"Close to sixteen...." Sighing, Dil looked at Kylee, smiling warmly as he tried to be a bit positive and think to himself that he might actually have a friend next to him and not even know it. Shaking his head, he started to laugh softly as he thought of something funny. He just realized that they went from spatting to talking softly and civilized to each other. Now, that was rather odd, and to him, a sign that this was a friend that he would be willing to deal with.
"What about you?" He was sort of curious about this girl, knowing almost nothing about her, period. He looked at his watch for a moment, biting his lower lip lightly, knowing Jason would be out looking for him soon enough. 'No, just...just don't think about it'. If he thought about it, it would come quicker. He looked at Kylee, still smiling warmly, waiting her answer.

Turned sixteen 'bout a month ago. Can't say it was anything great. Most people had looked forward to their sixteenth birthday birthday though it was nothing more than a regular day to her. She wasn't allowed a car seeing as she hot wired her parents' first one and drove away with it about half a year ago. She had been caught by the cops, got a nasty fine. She smiled at him as she thought about their meeting. She glanced down at the ground to avoid his gaze. Perhaps this was one person in which he didn't have to hate or be her usual smart-ass self to.
She had dreaded the return to her home than night. She had nothing to do other than lock herself in her room with the music blaring, trying to drowned out the sound of her father screaming and rapping at the door. She held back the urge to ask him to stay in her own house in the guest room though she hardly knew him and really didn't care fora rejection.
