Soon, Dil stopped, looking about in the darkness, sensing eyes on them for some reason. He was good about these things, feeling eyes on him. He had felt it all his life at moments, and knew when someone was watching him. And so, he started to walk faster, looking at Kylee, taking her hand as he didn't want her to be left in the dark with Jason,Shane, or Chase; whom ever came to look for him this time. Soon enough, he felt normal again, but his heart was racing as he looked at Kylee, letting go of her hands as he looked around slightly, before staring at Kylee once more. "Sorry about that, I just thought someone was out there...." He looked at the ground before starting to walk slowly again.
"So, do you have any musical preference...?" He still had no clue what to talk about, but he tried to make things seem as normal as possible.

She halted abruptly as his movements ceased, glancing at him before glancing around the dark park just as he had. She was gazing at a large statue of a founder of the city before she felt a jerk on her hand, being pulled away. She had held his hand in return, rather than letting it go limp as she would have done with most others. She quickened her pace to keep up with him, finally walking at normal speed once again. Kylee found slight disappointment in the moment of which he released her though she shook her head, silently scolding herself. She turned her face away, feeling her cheeks warm, knowing they had turned red though she doubted he could see in the dark. She moved away from the street lamp which shown down on her, walking on his other side. "No problem."
Kylee laughed to herself as he brought up such an odd topic. "Rock, I guess. Though I've never admitted this, I s'pose country's alright...grew up on it. You?" She looked at him and smiled, heaving a sigh before glancing away. What a change of character she had had.

"Yeah, I grew up on country. Deirks Bentley, Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Billy Currington, Trace Adkins, Johnny Cash. But, I /hate/ Cowboy Troy. What a little queer rag...." Dil snorted at the thought of 'Cowboy Troy'. He had many opinions on him, and he would express them fully. "He murdered country music. Took it by the throat and strangled it to death. What he did to it, Booth did to Lincoin....." Shaking his head, he looked at Kylee, smiling slightly still. Sighing, he looked ahead of them, watching the pavement move. He felt a bit stupid for taking her hand in the first place, but it was instinct not to leave someone behind. But, there was another thing there that forced him to take the opprotunity....what?

She laughed out loud at his reaction to her comment. She had heard of most of the country singers except for the one he ranted about. "Heard of all of them except for 'Cowboy Troy'. I'll have to take your word for it." Her hands remained out of her pockets, perhaps hoping he would grasp it again though she found herself stupid for thinking so. She had doubted he thought of her as anything more than a friend though she supposed that was comfortable enough.
Kylee continued to walk, thinking over what had happened since their meeting. She had really nothing to say seeing as she wasn't good at conversation starters. She glanced at the ground, lips parted. "So..."

He felt his mouth go a bit dry as he nodded, listening to her as he stared at the ground, trying to think of what he should do next. Dil knew he wasn't the smoothest person, but he tried, and his effort should be enough, right? He sighed lightly as he took her hand again, eyes closing, hoping not to get slapped as he just continued to walk, knowing she may just as well hit him over the head for touching her. But, everyone deserved a chance in his book.
"So....would you care to join me for something to eat somewhere other than my little home...?" He was hoping she'd say yes, but of course, she'd know that they needed to get better acquainted. He felt this to be a bit of a date, and it was.

She bit her lip as he continued to walk, thinking of what to say. She felt his grasp upon her hand once again and smirked to herself though she was slightly surprised he had taken it again. She looked at him again, smiling slightly to him as she nodded. "Yeah, sure." She had a few bucks in her coat pocket so she supposed it would be ok. Though her tone was neither extravagant nor dull she was holding slight excitement within. She didn't know what had drawn her into him, seeing as they had started out so rocky though she hoped they would get to know each other well. She laced her fingers with his, walking slightly closer than before as they neared the end of the trail and the park exit. It hadn't really mattered where they went, just where they could sit and talk a bit.
