A boy of about fifteen years strode up to the Music store. In Kaiden's pants was money that was burning a hole in his pocket. He was there to purchase some CD's of his favorite bands. He opened the door slowly and walked into the store. He was pretty short and looked like trouble with his black hair and clothes, but he was shy. He went over to the rock section of the store and began to look for the S's and found 'em. He then thumbed through CD's before pulling out a Senses Fail CD. Perfect, one down and bunch more to go.
After a while of searching and seeking, he held five CDs in his hand. Which included, one Senses Fail, one The Used, one Fall Out Boy, one Panic! At the Disco, and one Taking Back Sunday. He still wasn't done. He then headed over to the J's. He then rummaged through those before pulling out a Jack's Manniquin CD. He still wanted more, but Kaiden didn't have enough for more. He then went up to the counter and set his CDs on the counter. He paid with his credit card then took his CDs outside with him.
He sat infront of the store and pulled out from one of his cargo pockets his portable CD player. He opened up the Panic! At the Disco CD and popped it in. He then stuck his head phone earbuds in his ears and turned the music up loud. Kaiden how no other plans for the day. This was it.

"Do I /really/ have to do this, Mrs. Marks...? I mean, can't I just...do something else for community servers? " Jessi groaned lightly as she walked along with her rather short choir teacher. "Jessica, it'll be good for you. I mean, as Leader of the Altos, you need to practice getting out there and being a bit more confident. The Soprano and Baritone and Tenor leaders are doing this as well, so you aren't out there singin' alone. Now, go out there with Cougar spirit!" And then, the short lady left.
"God...." Jessi crossed her arms as she walked down the sidewalk, knowing that if she had to sing on the sidewalk, it would be something at least remotely reflecting on her feelings. That's what she did in the talent show, and that's what she would do now. But, before she even began, she saw Kaiden. Ah yes! This would hlp her a bit. Sighing, she stood next to him, leaning against the wall as she looked down at him, knowing he couldn't hear her. Either way, she spoke. "Hey...." She looked up, to make sure no one from school was watching her, expecting her to sing, and there was Mrs. Marks, and so, she started quickly.
"You got someone here wants to make alright Someone who loves you more than life right here You got willing arms that'll hold you tight A hand to lead you on through the night right here I know your heart can get all tangled up inside But don't you keep it to yourself..."
Before she even had to do the chorus, she was gone. Sighing, she looked at Kaiden again, trying to smile.

Kaiden ran his hands through his hair as he watched Jessi approach. She was Mick's pal. And from what he had saw he could tell she was very close to him. In ways he envied the fact he was so close to a girl but then again, he was different from Mick. He was the more outcasted one and more recluse. He wondered what she wanted with him. Kaiden was just a pretty face, he had no personality really. Kaiden had learned to not get too close with girls. Many had wanted things from him or just thought he was cute. Few of them went any farther than skin deep.
He decided to be polite. This was a bit of a first. He usually just ignored girls and then they would give up on him. He pulled out his headphones and looked at her. His eyes had a bit of a sad look. He looked like a lost puppy, maybe he was a lost puppy in the backyard of the world. Kaiden suddenly twitched a bit startled as she began to sing. Her voice was remarkablely pretty. It was like 'MUSIC TO HIS EARS' of course, this wasn't his music of choice but he could certainly respect it.
"You have a nice voice Jessi." He said nervously with a small smile. He hoped that he had remembered her name. How embarrassing would it be if he said the wrong name. He couldn't help but think he remembered her being an Emily. Kaiden took a deep breath and scolded himself. Stop worrying yourself, he thought.

"Thanks...Mrs. Marks is making me do this, though. Sing on the Streets, rather....Inventive confidence building, she calls it. Me? Call it hell, I do." Jessi snorted as she leaned against the wall of the brick, thinking the rudest thoughts of her choir teacher. Lordy, she had it in for her, Jessi knew it. Shaking her head, she looked at Kaiden, smiling as she sighed. "Anyway, what cha doin' outside Merlin's? Did the ol' bat give ya any trouble?" Jessi loved being mean to her older friends, like Mr. Merlin, considering he taught her a few songs on the guitar, acoustic and electric.
She slid down the wall, and sat next to Kaiden, knees pulled up to her chest as she watched people pass her up, looking at her as her brow raised. Well, well, well, what did /they/ want from /her/? She always loved scaring the people of this town, waving at the people who drove by, and if they didn't wave back, she had a reason to yell if she was pissed off. Screw what they thought of her. Never be normal! She looked at Kaiden, head titling slightly as she smiled. "Now, if anyone asks, I was with you all day, alright...?" She knew her father would send out her brothers at one point to ruin her fun, so she needed an alibi, so suffer. Suffer Chase's and Shane's smelly armpits, really.
