Intro-ness. xD
Please Forgive me
Spring. Lovely Spring. Another season to fly over Ryan's head. It was just like the year before. He lived alone; no one by his side. This year was the same. He didn't do anything, other than sitting around, working and playing video games. And when he did get out, he'd only venture far enough to the Java Lava and then home.
But he'd ventured farther this day, and now, was heading back to his house. Just like any other time, he stopped at the Java Lava for a latte`. He walked down the street, silent steps. His hands hid in his pockets, even with the warm weather. His eyes were surrounded by black eyeliner, and his hair brushed into his face. Ryan wasn't one to think but today, he thought hard, and long.
He'd thought of everything. All the way back to when he still attended school. Back to when times were perfect. Oh, he had changed. He'd changed alot. Ryan was no longer 'The Ryan', he was just Ryan. Plain old Ryan. Just like everyone else; the same. He hated it, but what could he do? This was he was, and always would be. Ryan. But what was the point in being just Ryan? No one looked at him when he walked down the street; no one noticed him in the crowd. He was just like everyone else. And he hated it.
But, there was nothing he do for and so he lived on. Ryan moved on, and become who he is now. And he didn't mind. He liked his new self. People liked him(whenever they got the chance to talk to him) and he liked himself, and so, he was perfect in his own mind. Sliding his hand into the door handle, Ryan pulled the door of the Java Lava Cafe` open and stepped in. He took a seat at a near by table and stared blankly out the window.

"Shrimp, hurry it! " Jessi could hear her brother, Shane, scolding from her walking place in the lobby as she tried to keep up with them. Yeah, in public places such as this with class, she felt a bit small compaired to her brothers. "Ah, screw it." Jessi sighed slightly as she just stopped and watched her brothers sit at a table and stare at her as she stood there. God, did she hate being stared at, because that made her feel different.
Looking around quickly, feeling as if everyone had their eyes on her, she was looking for salvation. Soon, she found it in the form of her new 'friend', Ryan. Smiling warmly, she walked towards him and stood next to him, then sat down after she pulled up a chair. "Hey. Mind if I join ya...? I'd rather not be with my annoyin' brothers right now..." You could sort of see the bit of hurt in her face, and the bit of annoyence and embaressment as well. She was just human. Shaking her head, she tried to rid herself of that look as she looked at Ryan, thinking about what her brothers would say. Yeah, they would make fun of her, but they all knew they loved each other.
"Sorry for not really giving you a choice, and just sittin' down...I just needed to get outta there, ya know?" She felt bad either way now.

Please Forgive Me
Ryan looked up at the small group of people sitting at a booth not too far off. It was Jessi, and her brothers, he guessed. She looked annoyed, embarrassed, and ready to rip one of there throats out. But she handled it by getting up and sitting with him. HIM. Ryan. The nonchalont Ryan. The not-anything Ryan. He looked up, a slight smile on his face before blushing. She was right he didn't have a choice, she was sitting with him.
He gave a small shrug and looked at her. "I guess so," he said looking up at the window again. He was avoiding eye contact with her. He didn't really know the girl, and felt kind of.... overwhelmed? Perhaps that was it. He hadn't communicated much with anyone since his 'The Ryan' phase. And he seemed out of place. He looked at her again, but still avoided eye contact quickly. He looked down at a menu, fumbling it in his fingers. He then glanced back up at her. "So..." he started. He wasn't one to really start a conversation. Never had been, never will be.

Jessi looked away, biting her bottom lip slightly, still feeling a bit...annoying for just sitting down. Maybe she should leave? Well, once more, that would just be rude, so why not just stay where she was? She stared at the window for a moment, watching the people walk outside, and then she watched a dog pass by, and she did the same thing she did every time she saw a dog; named the breed. "English Springer Spaniel..." She whispered to herself, as she knew that was an ESS. She had one, she should know. She blinked a few times as she continued to stare outside, but soon shook her head and looked back to Ryan as he, seemingly, tried to start a conversation.
"So..." She repeated, sighing lightly, trying to think of something to say. "You plan on stayin' here...?" She was talking a soft voice as she looked at him, knowing what she could be; obnoxious. Though, she really didn't know when she was and when she wasn't so that was the problem.

Please Forgive Me
Ryan sat still; only fiddling with the menu he held in his hand. Was this his new beginning? Was he supposed to talk? Well, he didn't like change, but could this change be good for him? Ryan wasn't so sure. To him, life was alright. He had a job, a mother he went home to sometimes, and well, his alone time. It seemed fine to him. Friends had meraculously not been in his life for very long. No reason to it; he'd make a friend, and then they'd stop talking to him. He'd gotten used to it, and didn't give a f**k.
Ryan looked back up. This was his one chance, and he didn't want to screw it up. And so, he changed. It was only a slight change. Nothing too dramatic. "Eh. I'll be here for awhile. I live on my own, so until I feel like leaving, you're gonna have to put up with my sorry little ass," Ryan smiled. He was becoming Ryan. Not lonely little guy that sat in the corner. Ryan. "And how long have you been living here? I'm guessing awhile."
Ryan glanced back out the window before looking back at Jessi and then, to boys she had been here with. Crazy little guys; maybe Ryan would get a long with them.... Pfft, like that would ever happen. One boy looked his way, Ryan nodded, and then looked back over to Jessi, waiting for a reply.

Jessi snorted slightly as she listened to Ryan and shook her head. "I've been here a while, yeah. I've lived here ever since I was born, so I get sort of bored with this town sometimes. I think that's why I get so excited with meeting new people..?" That was sort of a question to herself, but she asked it allowed. Shaking her head, she looked at her brothers and saw Jason getting up. Thank god it wasn't Chase or Shane, as Jason was her favorite brother; he was nice to her. Like a brother on TV from the fifties would be to their sister, not jerky like Chase or Shane. Odd thing was, Jason was the youngest, next to her, of course. But, he wasn't walking towards them, and she sighed lightly as she gripped her hand tightly. She looked up at Ryan and smiled slightly.
"Do you sing...? I would imagine you would have a nice singing voice. And don't say ya can't, 'cause everyone can. Even a hick like myself." Jessi had been singing ever since she was four, and had always sang with her brothers, no matter what. They were like Yin and Yang. They are nothing without each other, though by themselves, they can sing fairly well. That's what makes a choir a choir or a band a band; independent singing. Yeah, Jessi was a little Poindexter. She knew alot but almost always kept it to herself.

Please Forgive Me
Ryan looked up as the boy got up, though, was relieved he didn't come there way. He let a small laugh. It was directly toward her, just the way she questioned what she said. He smiled. Ryan smiled. What was the likes of that!? He looked up at the ceiling, trying his hardest to hold back a smile. No use. It'd already surfaced and there was no point in hiding it.
Ryan shook his head. "I do sing, though, I'm not very good at it," he let out a small laugh. "Last time I sang in public... was a disaster." He said remember what had happened. He was in the seventh grade and had a lead singing role. It was turn and he choked when he walked up to the microphone. When he finally did sing, it wasn't much better. "But my brother, he's a different story," Ryan told her. Kyle was Ryan's twin brother. Oddly, they weren't complete opposites. In reality, they were too alike. They looked the same, dressed the same, got the same piercings, acted the same. All of it. They even did everything together; well, for the most part. Ryan and Kyle always leaned on each other for support through the rough times, which is they both left there mom and sixteen.

"C'mon, it couldn't have been /that/ bad. I know it couldn't have been as bad as losing a bet and having to sing in front of the church in a dress that you hate, am I right...?" Well, not just a dress, Jessi hated dresses, period. She had to sing Amazing Grace and it was only last summer, so everyone who was there remembered it and bugged her about it. Shaking her head, she listened to him more. He had a brother? Cool. Maybe his brother wouldn't but a big butt-crack like her brothers, excluding Jason. She smiled lightly as she nodded slightly, thinking of something to say before her face went blank for a moment as she stared straight ahead, like a deer in the headlights. "Ooooh, snap, snap,snap,snap....Kel's comin'! This is just..just great. Wait...who's turn is it to take car of him? I did it last year, so...Jason!" Jessi sighed with relief as she calmed down and a soft smile crossed her face as she looked back to Ryan. "Sorry 'bout that....My baby cousin's comin' and I didn't want to be killed by my uncle for leaving him at the bus station alone." Jessi wasn't even sure if her uncle would be coming back; he was going to war. If anything did happen to him, Kelby would have to stay here with the rest of her family....that would just make her year.

Please Forgive Me
Ryan gave a small laugh and shook his head. His had to be worse; he was in front of his WHOLE school. Not including their parents. It was like... being at a Fall Out Boy concert, and Patrick choked on 'Dance, Dance.' That's how bad it felt. But anyone would think their experience was worse, and so, Ryan didn't say anything. "As far as I know, I don't have any cousins," Ryan said, giving a small shrug.
Ryan wasn't lying. As far as he knew, the only family he had was his brother Kyle, and his mother. Ryan never knew his father, grandparents, cousins, aunts or uncles. He grew up without all those family get togethers and all those family times. Ryan just had a small family, which wasn't a bad thing. Atleast he didn't have to remember so many names. Shaking his head, he stood up. "I'll be right back," he said, walking to the front counter and ordering a drink. Before, he had wanted a latte`. Now, he only asked for a simple Orange Drink. He exchanged the cash from the glass and went back to his chair.

"You're sort of lucky. My family isn't really the most 'loving' family. Add my scar to the body of my dead uncle, and that's basically enough said..." Jessi put her elbow on the table having a deep scar that was now sown up, but looked fresh. No, when she was seven her cousin murdered her uncle in front of her, and tried to kill her as well, but the gun was jammed, so, he got his pocket knife out, but by then, the police were there. She could remember the large hands crushing her neck, and the knife's blade coming down. Her face turned white as she stared straight out the window, seeing everything going down again.
Shaking her head, she watched him get up, then sit back down with a drink. "So, you have any friends? I really wouldn't call some of the people I know my friends, but Mick...he's my best buddy, and I love 'im." Jessi sighed, looking at Ryan. She didn't /love/ Mick, like boyfriend and girlfriend stuff, but he was like her brother.

Please Forgive Me
Ryan gave a small shrug. He really didn't have any friend here, at least. Even back at home he didn't have many friends. He was just that sorta guy. He didn't care for friends much anymore, and of those that he did, he'd only known them for a little while. He looked down at his drink and took a short gulp of it. He set it down again, shrugged and then spoke. "Well, I have friends, just not around here," he said, giving a small sigh. "I'm guessing you have some pets, or, at least like animals enough to know what breeds there are out there." He recalled back to the dog incident from before.
Ryan hadn't had many pets, and those that he did, he only had for a while. He'd never had a dog, cat, horse, or anything bigger than a fist for that matter. He'd had a small love bird, though it flew away after a week of being there. He had a fish once, though it died after a month. He'd had a rat, though his mother made him get rid of it. And after the rat, he'd given up on having pets or even being around them. The last time he'd ever been around an animal was when his friend, Richard, had invited him camping and they went horseback riding. Let me tell you, that wasn't the best experience either.

"Oh yes. Five dogs, six cats, three horses, and a piglet Mick gave me for my birthday..." Jessi knew after learning that, Ryan must think she's crazy, which was sort of true; she loved animals too much. If anyone hurt her little hijos, watch out. "The dogs are Scrapper, Bear, Buster, Sneaker, and Wilma. The cats are Cougar, Puma, Tipper, Sno-Shoe, Asher and Seal. The horses are CC, Sammy, and Gabe. And the piglet is Ivan....I've learned about the breeds of dog ever since I was four when I got my first puppies, Sneaker and Hunny. I know 320 plus breeds of dog and 119 breeds of cat. Horses and pig, I need to brush back up on though..." Jessi sighed as she looked at the table, then to Ryan, making full eye contact. That was what she was taught was polite, though it may make someone uncomfortable, but it was polite to look at who you were talking to.
"You need to come over to the zoo known as my home sometime. I'm sure my little hijos would love you. Scrapper and Bear may be a bit hard to warm up to, and Sneaker is blind, so you'll have to forgive her for that......" Jessi knew she was getting a bit ahead of herself, she just got a bit excited when it came to her babies. "What many people don't know is the bond of animal to the dominant partner. I don't use the word 'master', as they are not my slaves. They just see me as their leader and I respect that fact. Tippy, Snowy, Ashy, Puma, and Seal were /born/ next to me in my bed, and that is something many people don't know. That is the internal bond...the bond you don't even know is being formed."

Please Forgive Me
Ryan looked over at Jessi. He listened intently, nodding his head, and smiling. She must love animals. He let out a small laugh, smiled, and shook his head. It was cute how she rambled on about the littlest thing that she made to seem like a big deal. Reminded much of his adopted little sister. She would ramble on about the littlest things, make it sound like it was such a big deal, and then, in the end, it didn't have any point to it other than that it was a cute little story a seven year old made up. Ryan finished of his Orange soda before looking back at Jessi as she finished her small speech.
"You must love animals," he spoke, setting his glass back down and looking at her. "I've barely been around animals, other than a few fish here and there." He shook his head and smiled, letting out a small laugh. He hated smiling, but he sounded stupid. Then again, whenever he smiled, people thought he was the cutest little thing in the world. Maybe that was why he didn't smile much anymore. He didn't want to be 'cute'. Sighing, he looked out the window and glanced back at Jessi.

"I've had fish..Didn't really like 'em all that much after the second month of having them, because they died, and, as you can probably guess, I bawled my eyes out..." Jessi sighed as she thought of 'Casper' and 'No-Name' and 'Fish That Doth Have No Name'. They were basically her favorite fish whom have died already. No wonder she didn't have fish anymore. "That brings up more of my dead babies. Dagget, my red eyes hamster. He was freakin' awesome, I tell ya! His dirty little rat of a brother, Lucky 13, was my brother Chase's little rat. Lucy, Ricky, Gunner, and the other 31 unnamed gerbils that went out of control with the breeding thing..." Yeah, she was like...seven when the gerbil thing happened, and they all escaped into the backyard and apparently the dogs or whatever picked them off one by one. But, she caught Lucy and Gunner before anything happened to them. Lucy lived to be three years and then, two days later, Gunner died at the age of two years.
"Eh, I think this is why everyone basically steers clear of me. Heh, and I thought it was because someone thought I had rabis for a moment. Has anyone ever called ya a Poindexter, Geek, Freak, Moron, Witch, Mutt, a /he/ if you were a girl..." Sighing, she shook her head and looked out the window. She hated most of the people in this town, and she knew if they had the chance and the gull, they would beat her up. But no, they APPARENTLY had more decency just to pick on her for no true reason. "So, what was so funny from before? Was it something I said or...what?" Smiling, Jessi's brow raised as she looked at him.
