It must have been about ten in the morning, yet the girl could not sleep. It was her first night in this place, her first night away from home. Although her parents hadn't been too angry about her leaving, they seemed too stressed to even phone and she how she was. If there was one thing this girl didn't want to do it was make the first move. All she had to do now was get to know this place, and meet some people that knew it all ready. A simple enough task, right? Pushing open the doors to what looked like a café, slow steps were taken as she gently brushed her auburn tresses from her delicate face. Ok, it wasn't looking good seen as no one else her age was here. In fact, that actually shocked her. The place looked nice enough to be where some would choose to 'hang', but only two tables were taken up by a family of four and an old couple that looked on the verge of death.
Picking out a small table for two by the window, she chose this seat and plonked her rear upon it. Jeans seemed to stick to something gooey, causing a sigh to emit from inside her mouth. First impressions were everything to her, and so far this place wasn't exactly up to her standard. Picking up the menu, hazel eyes flicked across it rather fast for she knew what she wanted in an instant anyway. Tea and coffee had never been her thing, and she had never enjoyed the taste of a warm drink on a warm day. So, a water would do her fine. Getting back onto her feet, she headed towards the counter and fiddled in her pocket to try and find some money. Taking it out, she looked up at the lady that stood in front of her and faked a smile. "I'll have a bottled water please." Luckily enough for her, she was buying one of the cheapest things on the menu, so didn't have to pay that much. Exchanging the cash for the bottle, she wandered back to her seat.
Placing her bulk down on it once more, bottle was positioned in front of her on the table. The girl had an urge to phone home and ask how everything was, but something kept poking her with a spork when she went inside her hand bag to retrieve her cell phone. It was starting to irritate her really, for she wanted to know how they all were. Shaking her head slightly, a sigh left her mouth as she clutched her bag in her hands, grabbing the phone from inside and flipping it open. It was pretty much her baby, seen as it had been so damn expensive! Luckily enough, her parents had given it to her so she could continue to put money towards her car that she wold soon raise enough money for with their help. Finding her way into the address book, she scrolled down to home and thought about clicking the 'ring' button, but decided against it and shoved the phone in her bag once more.
